Un article est souvent réducteur. Pour aller dans votre sens, lire et faire connaitre Bidoche de Fabrice Nicolino où il traite entre autres de la souffrance animale. Il n’en demeure pas moins que ma révolte va au delà: les souffrances, les tortures…que les enfants, les femmes et les hommes subissent sont à combattre. Peut-être croire aux actes et aux paroles de Tolstoï qui pensait qu’il fallait faire de la mise à mort animale une condamnation morale et que le végétarisme pouvait être une voie pacifique pour le monde.

J’adhère bien sûr totalement à cette posture bien qu’elle ne prenne en compte que l’impact écologique, et pas la nécessité de reconnaitre des droits aux animaux qui sont des êtres sensibles, intelligents et conscients, traités comme des objets, de la marchandise, de la nourriture.
Mais peut-être sera-t-il plus aisé d’ouvrir le débat à partir de la surpopulation et de la pénurie alimentaire.
Cela dit, la production intensive, que ce soit en élevage ou en agriculture, est responsable de cette catastrophe écologique et humaine, ce serait dommage que le petit éleveur qui est dans le respect de la vie soit mis dans le même panier.

In the last paragraph of this article, they name Jean-Claude Carrière who adapted The Tempest of William Shakespeare for Peter Brook in 1990. He recently played in Abbas Kiarostami’s Certified Copy. He is the old man who gives the lead actor (William Shimell) some friendly advice about his relationship with the lead actress (Juliette Binoche).

As to me, I hope I’ll be able to learn a lot of new things this year, maybe improve my French a bit, for example… Oh, yes, and I am going to do 20 minutes of light exercise at least 3 times a week and go for a 1-2 hour walk at least once a week. Not too ambitious, are they?

3. This part of your comment is not correct. (Christian people celebrate, they celebrate)
4. Yes, to sell more goods, or to sell a lot of goods, or many goods…
5. Yes, enjoy Christmas and its beauty:
– it’s = it is
– its –> his, her, mine etc
6. This part of the text doesn’t need any correction: by all this advertising. Why? Because adverstising is an uncountable noun, so it is treated as singular. But if you use a countable noun instead, for example “advertisment”, then you will have to use the plural form to have a correct sentence: by all these advertisements.

You are right. You save someone “from” something, for example if someone falls in the river, you will try to save him from drowning (dying in the water).
But what about the other mistakes in the text?
